Dr. Fatima Rehan is a young surgical trainee holding a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from Rawalpindi Medical University. Her academic journey reflects a strong commitment to excellence and acquiring versatile skill set befitted for a surgeon. During her undergraduate tenure, she completed internships at prestigious institutions such as Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital, Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology, gaining valuable practical experience in Oncology and Emergency Cardiology.

 

During her academic years, Dr. Rehan remained actively involved in research and contributed by publishing paper titled "Association of Social Anxiety Disorder and Physical Activity with Psychological Distress During COVID-19 Imposed Lockdown: A Medical Student Survey from a Developing Country" in the prestigious Cambridge Journal. This publication highlights the burning issue of addressing contemporary healthcare challenges and understanding their psychological impact.

 

To build up and enhance her leadership abilities; Dr Rehan undertook a role as the Chief Organiser for the Surgical Olympiad. She was recognised for her achievements with the "Pride of Hamza" award during her pre-medicine studies.
